John Summit Begins Recording Sophomore Album in London and Amsterdam

John Summit is taking “traveling for work” to a whole new level. Less than a year after the release of his debut album, Comfort In Chaos, the prolific producer has announced that he’s already begun recording his sophomore album in London and Amsterdam.

Summit has been on a hot streak, consistently releasing singles that push the boundaries of his house music style. This includes recent ventures into other genres, like the dubstep-infused “Gas Pedal,” a rework of Sage the Gemini’s hit, produced in collaboration with Subtronics and Tape B.

This genre-bending approach appears to be influencing Summit’s upcoming album. He recently shared snippets of unreleased demos on social media, showcasing drops that span from techno to drum & bass, hinting at the album’s diverse sonic palette.

Summit is collaborating with familiar faces like Sub Focus and Julia Church, with whom he previously released “Go Back,” as well as Hannah Boleyn, Ina Wroldsen, and EDM.com Class of 2024 star Camden Cox. He also posted a photo with hard techno icon Sara Landry, though it’s unclear whether they’re working on new music together. The album promises to be an exciting evolution of Summit’s sound.
